Company History

2002

Birth of Ritar & First Battery Output

On June 8, 2002, Ritar was founded and produced the first batch of Ritar batteries in the Shenzhen Fuyong Industrial Plant.

 

2007

Ritar Listed on NASDAQ

Listed on NAsDAQ, it is the first battery industry listed company in China, investing in and constructing Hengyang Ritar to build Asia’s largest battery factory.

 

2009

The First Phase of The Manufacturing Base

Hengyang Ritar is put into production, with an investment of 800 million yuan, and the first phase of the manufacturing base is successfully put into production.

 

2010

China's First Large Megawatt Chemical Energy Storage Power Station

Successfully built an 8MWh energy storage power station, located atthe Brazil Pavilion of the Shanghai World Expo, covering an area of 18 square meters, China’s first large-scale megawatt-level chemical energy storage power station.

 

2017

Lithium Battery Factory Operational

The Vietnam Industrial Park has started construction with a total investment of 120 million US dollars. It was officially put into operation in 2018, launching new lead-carbon batteries and cloud batteries.

 

2020

Ritar Vietnam Industrial Park

New energy battery industrial park and Rich lithium battery project launched; lithium battery factory operational.

 

2021

Green Manufacturing List

Solid-state lead batteries have been designated a national brand, chosen for the government’s green energy procurement catalog, and recognized on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s annual green manufacturing list.

 

2023

GPT Established

Relying on its own mature lithium battery intelligent manufacturing base, Ritar Group has created a new brand, GPT; the brand focuses on the research and development, manufacturing, and integration of lithium battery energy storage systems, empowering all-scenario applications with professional energy storage solutions.

 

2025

Vietnam Lithium Battery Base

A new GPT lithium battery production base has been established in Vietnam, with plans to build 12 automated lithium battery production lines to strongly support global deliveries.

Our R&D team comprises over 300 experienced engineers specializing in advanced lithium-ion and LiFePO4 energy storage technology. Backed by a state-of-the-art, CNAS-certified testing laboratory, GPT executes full end-to-end independent R&D—spanning active material synthesis, cell architecture design, intelligent BMS development, and complete system-level verification. With a portfolio of over 200 proprietary patents, we drive continuous innovation across residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), grid-scale, and electric mobility applications.
